User Sues Apple App Programmers
on 23.12.2010 according to Bloomberg, and Wired were filed two lawsuits against the U.S. technology manufacturer Apple. The lawsuits say that data have been transmitted, the user without prior approval of advertising networks.
plaintiff Jonathan Lalo argues that users of iPhone and iPad is not possible to prevent the transmission of the Unique Device Identifier (UDID) and thus to block the transfer. First, refutes this Apple's statement that no data is transferred without prior consent and the other would be the ad networks offer the possibility to switch suitable advertising. Furthermore, it is said in the lawsuit against financial compensation, information on age, sex, religion and political direction would be given. Lalo would like that all the applicants who have installed from 1.12.2008 to 12.26.2010 Apps to Connect, a class action. The second action
treated similar subjects, is aimed explicitly but also to the 3 provider of apps, including Tom Cat Talking, Pimple Popper Lite Pumpkin Maker.
Apple has not yet commented on the lawsuits.
