According to latest statistics the U.S. market research firm Nielsen are the Android smartphone operating systems, IOS and BlackBerry OS on a nearly equal footing.
Actual sales figures for the period June to November, according to Android leads with 40.8% followed by 26.9% and iOS BlackBerry OS with 19.2%.
iOS In November, with 28.6%, however, growth in market share was limited. Unlike RIM's: While the BlackBerry's in June, had been a strong share of 33.9% percent for itself, decreases the market share in November to 26.1%. Android won in the same period and is around 10% in November at 25.8%.
If the trends as continues, then Android is now among the most widely used operating systems on the U.S. market. According to Nielsen should be noted, however, that Windows Mobile 7 now plays an important role.
